Ashley Dyson Lord

MSW/EdS

Marriage & Family Therapist

Hi, I’m Ashley. I started my career in social work, where I developed a broad clinical lens across individual, family, and systems-based perspectives. I was always drawn to understanding relationships, so I chose to pursue advanced education in marriage and family therapy.

I hold dual graduate degrees — a Master of Social Work and an EdS degree in Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapy — and I maintain my dual licensure along with extensive training in couples therapy modalities.

While my background includes experience with a range of children and families, my practice today focuses primarily on couples. I work with partners seeking to strengthen communication and connection, as well as those navigating more complex relational stressors such as infidelity, high conflict, and uncertainty about the future of their relationship.

I am particularly interested in the patterns that develop between partners — how conflict escalates, how emotional distance grows, and how relational systems either stabilize or unravel. Whether a couple is working to rebuild or simply to better understand one another, I focus on bringing structure, clarity, and steadiness to the process.

My approach is grounded, direct, and relationally focused. I believe clarity reduces chaos — and that meaningful change begins with thoughtful, honest conversation.
